Basic Meaning: ten stages common to all three vehicles
Senses:
The Tiantai version of the ten stages 十地, the ten stages of the Shared teaching 通教, stages of attainment shared by the śrāvaka, pratyekabuddhas, and bodhisattvas. These are attained after the bodhisattva completes the 十四向. See under 十地. [Charles Muller, Paul Swanson]
[Paul Swanson]
