Basic Meaning: three kinds of nescience
Senses:
The three kinds of nescience (上品無明,中品無明, 下品無明) that are eliminated in the entry into the first of the ten grounds 十地 of bodhisattva practice. The most intense nescience and middling nescience are removed at the end of the ten dedications of merit 十廻向, with faint nescience being removed upon entry into the grounds.
