  • Also called precepts of three refuges 三歸戒. Verse for taking refuge in Three Treasures in connection with ceremony of taking precepts when going forth from household life 出家得度式.

    Hail refuge in buddha. 南無歸依佛

    Hail refuge in dharma. 南無歸依法

    Hail refuge in saṃgha. 南無歸依僧

    I take refuge in buddha, honored as highest. 歸依佛無上尊

    I take refuge in dharma, honored as stainless. 歸依法離塵尊

    I take refuge in saṃgha, honored as harmonious. 歸依僧和合尊

    I have taken refuge in buddha. 歸依佛竟

    I have taken refuge in dharma. 歸依法竟

    I have taken refuge in saṃgha. 歸依僧竟
