Another name for Sūryaprabha 日光菩薩. A bodhisattva in esoteric Buddhism. Acintyamatidatta means
'giving mysterious wisdom.'
Acintyamatidatta is mentioned in the Mahāvairocana-sūtra and appears in western part of the 除蓋障院 section of the Womb maṇḍala, where it is beige in color, left hand holding a lotus with a pearl in the center, and its right hand raised with the first two fingers extended. It sits in a half lotus posture on a red lotus facing inward (to its right). Its seed syllable is the Sanskrit initial u. Its mudrā is right hand in from of the chest in a beckoning gesture. The thumb and index finger are together holding a mala.
