Basic Meaning: nine liberations
Senses:
Nine of the thirty-four enlightened mental states 三十四心 that sever obstacles to true knowledge: There are nine levels of liberation corresponding to the nine levels of delusions: higher, middling, and lower levels, each with higher, middling, and lower levels. Also written 九解脫道 and 九無間道.
