Basic Meaning: seventy-five dharmas in five categories

Senses:

  • The arrangement of the seventy-five factors of experience by the Sarvâstivāda school 說一切有部 into five groups, explained in the Abhidharmakośa-bhāṣya 倶舍論. The five groups 五位 are form 色, mind 心, mental factors 心所, functions not necessarily bound to mind 心不相應行, and the unconditioned 無爲. See also 七十五法. [Charles Muller]
