Basic Meaning: five characteristics of a buddhaʼs nature

Senses:

  • The five characteristics of a Buddha' s nature: the first three are the three causes of buddha-nature 三因佛性. the fourth is its fruition 果佛性, and the fifth the fruition of that fruition 果果佛性, or the revelation of parinirvāṇa.
