Basic Meaning: five inconceivable aspects (of omniscience)
Senses:
(Tib. lnga po rnams bsam du med pa'i rnam pa) (*Āryalaṅkāvatāravṛtti D4018.121.68a.6–68a.7). These are the five inconceivable 不可思議 aspects of the omniscience of a Buddha or an enlightened sage which knows:
- the number of sentient beings across the universe 衆生多少;
- all the consequences of their karma 業果報;
- the sensory spheres realized through the powers of meditative adepts 坐禪人力;
- the sensory spheres realized through the powers of nāgas 諸龍力;
- the sensory spheres realized through the powers of the buddhas 諸佛力.
