Basic Meaning: both parties regard the reason to be untrue

Senses:

  • Also written 兩倶不成過 (Skt. ubhaya-asiddha). The first of the four fallacies of the reason being 'unproved'  四不成過, one of the groups of fallacies that constitute the fourteen fallacies of the reason 因十四過. The truth of the minor premise is rejected by both parties.
