Basic Meaning: six states of transmutation
Senses:
A schema in the Cheng weishi lun 成唯識論 for describing the six different levels of transmutation that exist as part of the realization of the
'twofold transformation of the basis'
轉依. The six states are as follows: (1) transmutation through breaking power and increasing efficacy 損力益能轉, (2) transmutation through thorough understanding 通達轉, (3) transmutation through cultivation 修習轉, (4) transmutation through perfect completion of effect 果圓滿轉, (5) inferior transmutation 下劣轉, and (6) great transmutation 廣大轉.
