Senses:

  • Originated in the 'West,' coming to China under the Liu Song (420–479). He resided and worked at Chanfangsi 禪房寺 in Jingzhou 荊州 (mod. Hebei) around 462, and then at the Dashisi 大石寺 in Chengdu 成都.
