Senses:
The eighteen things a monk should carry in the performance of his duties (Skt. aṣṭādaśa dravyāṇi): (1) willow twigs 楊枝 (for a toothbrush) (2) soap 澡豆 (3) the three garments 三衣 (4) a water-bottle 甁 (5) a begging-bowl 鉢 (6) mat 座具 (7) staff 錫杖 (8) censer 香爐 (9) water filter 漉水囊 (10) handkerchief (or towel) 手巾 (11) knife 刀子 (12) flint stone 火燧 (13) pincers (tweezers, scissors) 鑷子 (14) folding seat 繩床 (15) sūtra 經 (16) the Vinaya 律 (17) the Buddhaʼs image 佛像 (18) bodhisattva image or images 菩薩像
