Basic Meaning: maṇḍala of the ten realms
Senses:
One of the three great secret teachings 三大祕法 in the Nichiren school 日蓮宗 regarding the principle of the main deity 本尊 in the original teaching 本門 of the Lotus Sutra. This concept stipulates that writing the title 題目 of the sutra, 南無妙法蓮華經, is tantamount to a maṇḍala that encompasses all ten realms 十界. Therefore, the realm of buddhas, i.e. the tenth realm, is ultimately indistinguishable from the other nine realms. Also referred to as the 十界大曼荼羅 and 十界勸請大曼荼羅.
