Basic Meaning: ten aspects of thusness
Senses:
The ten aspects of the bhūtatathatā or reality attained by a bodhisattva during his fifty-two stages of development, cf. 十地 and 十障, each of which is associated with one of these aspects of thusness:
-
遍行眞如 the universality of thusness;
-
最勝眞如 the superiority of thusness over all else;
-
勝流眞如 the ubiquity of thusness;
-
無攝受眞如 the independence or self-containedness of thusness;
-
無別眞如 the subjective non-differentiation of thusness;
-
無染淨眞如 non-difference of impurity and purity in thusness;
-
法無別眞如 the objective non-differentiation of thusness;
-
不增減眞如 thusness as neither increasing nor decreasing;
-
智自在所依眞如 thusness as the basis of all unimpeded wisdom;
-
業自在等所依眞如 thusness as the basis of all sovereign activity and all power.
The above are the 別教 group from the 唯識論 10. Another group, of the 圓教, is the same as the 十如是 "
