Basic Meaning: ten limbs of meditation
Senses:
(1) investigation (vitarka 尋), (2) fine analysis (vicāra 伺), (3) joy (pramuditā 喜), (4) bliss (sukha 樂), (5) one-pointedness of the mind (cittaikâgratā 心一境性), (6) internal clarity (adhyātma-saṃprasāda 內等淨), (7) indifference (upekṣā 捨), (8) mindfulness (smṛti 念), (9) attentiveness (saṃprajāna 正知), (10) sensation of neither pleasure nor pain (aduḥkha-asukha vedanā 不苦不樂受).
