Basic Meaning: ten types of offerings

Senses:

  • Ten types of objects offered to the Buddha: (1) flowers, (2) incense, (3) a necklace, (4) incense powder, (5) sprinkling of powdering, (6) burning of incense, (7) canopy and banner 蓋瞳, (8) clothing, (9) music, and clasping oneʼs hands in prayer 合掌. 〔法華文句記 T 1719.34.306a10〕 .
