Senses:

  • The head temple of the Nanzenji branch 南禪寺派 of the Japanese Rinzai school 臨濟宗 located in Kyoto. The temple was established by Mukan Fumon 無關普門 under the order of Emperor Kameyama 龜山天皇 in 1291.
