Senses:
In Buddhist logic 因明, the eighth of the nine possible conditions of a reason in a syllogism based on its properties 九句因. For instance, a Vaiśeṣika said:
"Sound is impermanent, Because it is produced by effort, Like lightning or a pot, unlike space."
