Basic Meaning: four fallacies of unproof (in the reason)
Senses:
In Buddhist logic 因明, cases where the truth of the minor premise is not proved. Also called 四不成 and 四不證過. These are the first four of the fourteen fallacies of the reason 因十四過. These are

兩倶不成 (Skt. ubhayâsiddha);
'both untrue'

隨一不成 (Skt. anyatrāsiddha);
'either untrue'

猶豫不成 (Skt. saṃdigdhāsiddha);
'being doubtful'

所依不成 (Skt. āśrayāsiddha);
'being unfounded'
