Basic Meaning: cause of the cause

Senses:

  • (Skt. sahetuka) Nakamura explains that if A is the cause of B, and B is the cause of C, then A is the cause of the cause of C. (Pradhan 1967, 697). 〔倶舍論 T 1558.29.116a20〕 The opposite of 果果.
