Basic Meaning: three levels of worthies prior to the (bodhisattva) grounds

Senses:

  • In the 41- or 52-stage path of bodhisattvahood, the thirty stages prior to the entry into the ten grounds 十地. Thus, the ten abodes 十住, ten practices 十行, and ten dedications of merit 十廻向; usually written as 三賢.
