Basic Meaning: pervasive mental factors
Senses:
Mental factors that operate everywhere (Skt. mahā-bhūmika-dharmāḥ). As taught in the Abhidharmakośa-bhāṣya. Operating everywhere, means that they are functioning in mental activities that are morally good, evil, as well as neutral. There are ten of this type:
- sensation 受,
- perception 想,
- volition 思,
- touch 觸,
- desire 欲,
- intelligence 慧,
- recollection 念,
- intention 作意,
- verification 勝解,
