  • See also 憤志. One of the three essentials 三要 for attaining enlightenment in Chan: the great root of faith 大信根, the great mass of doubt 大疑團 (大疑情), and the great overpowering will 大憤志. See Hori, p. 6. T 2576.81.615c21: 「因忽發大憤志。」
