Senses:

  • (1425–?) Chinese Linji 臨濟宗 monk of the Ming. A student and dharma-transmitter of Jinglong 景隆 at Xiujishan 修吉山 in Hangzhouzhi 杭州. Later stayed at Zhenrusi 眞如寺 in Jiahe 嘉禾 of Zhejiang 浙江. In 1470 he republished the Zimen jingxun 緇門警訓 with supplementary materials. In 1489 he composed the Chanzong zhengmai 禪宗正脈 in ten fascicles. [Charles Muller; source(s): FGD]
