Equivalent to the Pāli Canonʼs Sakkapañha-sutta (DN.21), No. 14 of the Dīrghâgamaʼs 長阿含經/釋提桓因問經, No. 134 of the Madhyamāgama 中阿含經/釋問經, and No. 6 of the Zabao zangjing 雜寶藏經/帝釋問事緣. One of the esoteric motifs expressed in the this sutra, that of a woman entering the saṃgha, abandoning the female body, and being reborn in Tuṣita Heaven as a son of Indra, will be taken up as a formula for texts such as the Lotus Sutra.
