Senses:

  • (1296–1370). A Yuan-dynasty 元代 Chan 禪宗 monk from Ming Province 明州. His given name was Tanyao 曇曜 and his cognomen was Chushi 楚石. He received the full precepts at the age of sixteen and became an acolyte at Daochangsi 道場寺 at the age of twenty-two. He trained at several temples before becoming a resident at Baoenguangxiaosi 報恩光孝寺.
