Basic Meaning: mastery of karmic activity

Senses:

  • The bodhisattva has sovereignty over Action, as he comprehends the consequences of deeds at the proper time. One of ten powers; ten kinds of mastery taught in the Bodhisattvabhūmi-śāstra; see 十自在 (Skt. karma-vaśitā).
