Basic Meaning: power of the knowledge of death, transmigration, and birth

Senses:

  • By means of the unimpeded vision of the divine eye one can, without special effort, know the times of the death and rebirth of sentient beings, and well the wholesome and unwholesome circumstances of their future rebirths. Also known as 天眼無礙智力, 宿住生死智力, and 天眼力. One of the ten powers 十力. (Skt. cyuty-upapatti-jñāna-bala, cyuty-upapāda-jñāna-bala; Tib.
