Basic Meaning: Path of Purification

  • The Visuddhimagga by Buddhaghoṣa 佛音. A major Pāli text that delivers some of the seminal teachings of the Theravāda tradition, by elucidating the path to liberation through the three practices of morality , concentration , and wisdom . It contains two chapters on precepts, eleven on meditation, and ten on wisdom, totaling 23.
