Basic Meaning: stage of consecration

Senses:

  • Stage of initiation. The fifteenth of the eighteen stages 十八位 taught in the Madhyânta-vibhāga; the tenth of the ten bodhisattva grounds 十地 (Skt. abhiṣekabhūmi, abhiṣekâvasthā).
