Basic Meaning: (the truth of the premise) is doubted

Senses:

  • Also written 猶豫不成過 (Skt. saṃdigdha-asiddha). The third of the four fallacies of the reason being 'unproved'  四不成過, one of the groups of fallacies that constitute the fourteen fallacies of the reason 因十四過. i. e. the truth of the minor premise is not certain.
