Basic Meaning: (Skt. Rohiṇī)
Senses:
One of the twenty-eight constellations 二十八宿, located in the western part of the external court 外院 of the esoteric 密教 maṇḍala 曼荼羅. Its mudrā is the twenty-eight constellations common mudrā 二十八宿總印. Its mantra is rohiṇī nakṣatra. The twenty-eight constellations common dhāraṇī 二十八宿總呪 is also used. Also called 尸嚧呬, 虜喜尼, 木者, 長養宿, and 長育宿. Regarded as having either five or eight stars, it is associated with Prajāpati.
