眞如所緣緣種子

Senses:

  • These are the uncontaminated seeds 無漏種子 produced by taking thusness 眞如 as the object of direct observation. In the Viniścayasaṃgrahaṇī 攝決擇分 section of the Yogâcārabhūmi, these seeds are defined as that which engenders understanding of the the supramundane teaching 出世間法. They stand for the capacity for liberation unencumbered by the habituated tendencies 習氣積集 accumulated through conditioning action (Tib. de bzhin nyid la dmigs pa'i rkyen gyi sa bon). 〔瑜伽論 T 1579.30.589a17
