Basic Meaning: Chanhai shizhen
Senses:
A single-fascicle collection of Chan teachings. It was compiled by Ming-dynasty monk 明代 Weilin Daopei 爲霖道霈 and published in 1687. The compilation consists of ten works: (1) Qifojie 七佛偈, (2) Rudaosixing 入道四行, (3) Xinxin ming 信心銘, (4) Erzhongsanmei 二種三昧, (5) Zhengdao ge 證道歌, (6) Cantongqi 參同契, (7) Linjifayu 臨濟法語, (8) Baojing sanmei 寶鏡三昧, (9) Shixuantan 十玄談, (10) and Jiudai 九帶. The full title is Weilin Chanshi chanhai shizhen 爲霖禪師禪海十珍 and is published in volume 126 of the Zokuzōkyō. [Matthew McMullen; source(s): Yokoi, FGD]
