Pronunciations

Basic Meaning: ultimate truth

Senses:

  • Supreme truth; cardinal truth. The truth of the first principle. One of the two aspects of truth, the other being the secular truth or relative, worldly truth 俗諦 (世俗諦). This paramount truth is a synonym for nirvana 涅槃, tathatā 眞如, the middle path 中道, dharmadhātu 法界, and śūnyatā .
