Basic Meaning: Cuiyan's eyebrows

Senses:

  • This phrase is a reference to the gong'an 公案 in which Cuiyan Lingcan 翠巖令參 (d.u.) asks his disciples if he still has his eyebrows after having preached several sermons during a retreat.
