Basic Meaning: The Recorded Sayings of Chan Master Shengke
Senses:
Shengke chanshi yulu. Ten fascicles. The recorded sayings of Deyu 德玉 (1628–1701), written during the Qing dynasty 淸代 and first published in 1695. Fascicles 1–5 contain sermons from the high seat 上堂. Fascicle 6 contains evening sermons 晩參 and dharma talks 法語. Fascicle 7 contains ancient precedents 拈古. Fascicle 8 contains verses on ancient precedents 頌古. Fascicle 9 contains encounter dialogues 機緣. Fascicle 10 is comprised of miscellaneous materials. An additional fascicle that includes an index, one hundred poems, and the masterʼs biography was published in 1703.
