Basic Meaning: oneʼs own negative example

Senses:

  • According to the conventions of Buddhist logic 因明, an example whose meaning is categorically different from that asserted in the thesis. If this negative example is accepted by oneʼs adversary , but not by the proponent 立論者, then it is called 'oneʼs own negative example.'
