Also called 菩提心經. A variant translation of the 最勝王經淨地陀羅尼品, and containing the same theme as the 大方廣菩薩十地經. Listed in Taishō as 佛說莊嚴菩提心經. Lecturing in Gṛdhrakūṭa in Rājagṛha 王舍城 for the great bhikṣus and bodhisattvas, the Buddha answers the questions put forth by the bodhisattva Thought of Immeasurable Meanings regarding the arousal of the mind intent on enlightenment and the enlightened mind 菩提心. As the discussion continues, he explains the ten pāramitās 十波羅蜜, ten grounds 十地, explaining the samādhis, aspects, and dhāraṇīs attained at each ground. [Charles Muller; source(s): FGD]
