Basic Meaning: to practice
Senses:
To undertake; conduct, do, carry out; to practice; accomplishing, practicing; a path. Religious acts, deeds, or exercises aimed at taking one closer to the final goal of enlightenment (Skt. carya; pratipad, prāyoga; Pāli cariyā; Tib. spyod pa, lam, sgrub pa). As carita it refers to a beingʼs temperament, conduct, behavior, actions, etc. the Yogâcārabhūmi-śāstra lists five kinds of temperament 五行. [Charles Muller]
(Skt. saṃskāra) Conditioning; conditioning forces; dharmas produced through causation, i.e., so-called conditioned phenomena 有爲法; formative forces. Those things which arise out of causes and conditions and constantly change. Also volition; impulse, intention, orientation—the mental function of
