Basic Meaning: path of accumulation

Senses:

  • Path of preparation; path of equipment. One of five levels of cultivation in Yogâcāra thought (五道, 五位). In this path, the practitioner cultivates purity through the practice of precepts and correct mindfulness—in other words, cultivating merit and wisdom.
