In addition to this text, for the Chinese translation of Dharmacakra-pravartana-sūtra, we can find Sifen lu 四分律 (Dharmagupta Vinaya; T 1428), Wufen lu 五分律 (Mahīśāsaka Vinaya; T 1421), Za ahan jing 雜阿含經 (T 99.2.103c-104a), Fayunzu lun 法蘊足論 (Abhidharma-dharma-skandha-pāda; T 1537) and Sanzhuan falun jing 三轉法輪經 (T 110).

The contents of the Sifen lu 四分律 and Wufen lu 五分律 correspond roughly to the Pāli Vinaya, and the Zhuanfalun jing 轉法輪經 corresponds roughly to the Pāli Dhammacakka-pavattana-sutta, (PTS: SN. V. pp. 420–423). These two Pāli texts and three Chinese texts form a group in that all those texts deal with two extreme ways 兩邊, the middle way (i.e. eightfold path 八正道) and the four noble truths in detail before they mention about the twelve applications in the three turns of the wheel of the law 三轉十二法輪. The other three Chinese translations, i.e. Za ahan Jing 雜阿含經, Fayunzu lun 法蘊足論 and Sanzhuan falun jing 三轉法輪經, form the other group in that they just mention the twelve applications in the three turns of the wheel of the law.
