Basic Meaning: Court of Omniscience
Senses:
The court directly adjacent to the east of the Court of the Eight-petaled lotus 中臺八葉院 in the Garbhadhātu maṇḍala 胎藏界曼荼羅. Also called the inner court of the east 東方內院. The Court of Omniscience represents the virtues of Mahāvairocanaʼs wisdom 智慧 or prajñā 般若. Wisdom is said to be the mother of buddhas 佛母 as it produces buddhas. This court is also called the court of the mother of buddhas 佛母院. This court includes Sarva-tathāgata-jñāna-mudrā 一切如來智印, Uruvilvākāśyapa 優樓頻羅迦葉, Gayākāśyapa 伽耶迦葉, Buddhalocanā 佛眼佛母, Mahāvīra Bodhisattva 大勇猛菩薩, Saptakoṭibuddhamātṛkā 七倶胝佛母 and Vajrāmoghasamayasattva Bodhisattva 大安樂不空眞實菩薩.References:
