(dates unclear) A Northern Wei 北魏 monk who is considered, as the student of Bodhiruci 菩提流支, as the founder of the northern branch of the Dilun school 地論宗. He entered the saṃgha at the time when the Northern Wei emperor Wu was supporting the study of Buddhism, and the two masters Bodhiruci and Ratnamati 勒那摩提 were translating and explicating the Daśabhūmika-śāstra 十地經論. He is recorded as having many students, including Sengxiu 僧休, Faji 法繼, Danli 誕禮, Laoyi 牢宜, and Ruguo 儒果. He was a contemporary of Ratnamatiʼs student Huiguang 慧光, who is understood to be the founder of the southern school of Dilun.
