Basic Meaning: wrong cause, wrong effect

  • The first of the four categories of mistaken non-Buddhist understandings regarding causation 外道四執. The Sanlun xuanyi cites as an example the belief that all things are produced and are annihilated based on will of Mahêśvara 大自在天.
