Basic Meaning: Vajragandhā

Senses:

  • Diamond Perfume is one of the four outer offerings bodhisattvas 外四供養菩薩 found in the vajradhātu-maṇḍala 金剛界曼荼羅. Vajragandhā, situated in the northeast, is offered by Amoghasiddhi 不空成就. In the perfected body assembly 成身會 section of the mandala, Vajragandhā is shown as a green-colored celestial being 天女 holding a dish of powdered incense in her left hand and sprinkling the powder with her right hand. Her esoteric name 密號 is 淸涼金剛. See also 八供養菩薩.
