Basic Meaning: maṇḍala of the adamantine realm

Senses:

  • Diamond realm maṇḍala (Skt. vajra-dhātu-maṇḍala). The Vajradhātu-maṇḍala symbolizes the active aspect of the cosmos, the wisdom of Vairocana. Also called the Western maṇḍala 西曼荼羅, the fruition maṇḍala 果曼荼羅, and moon maṇḍala 月輪曼荼羅. One of the two major maṇḍalas used in Esoteric Buddhism.
