It is an eastern extension of the Khu nu ri bo (Ch. 昆侖山, Kunlun Shan), which runs in a northwest to southwest direction in the modern Golog Tibetan Autonomous Region (Ch. 果洛藏族自治州, Guoluo Zangzu Zizhizhou; Tib. mGo log bod rigs rang skyong khul).
