Basic Meaning: Yunmenʼs three illnesses
Senses:
Also referred to as 雲門三種病 and 禪病三種. The three different types of suffering expounded by Yunmen Wenyan 雲門文偃 (864–949). (1) Having not yet left the realm of delusion and discrimination 未到走作. (2) Arriving at awakening but becoming attached to it 已到住著. (3) Falling into the mistaken belief that one has realized awakening and is now completely free 透脫無依.
