Basic Meaning: Gangoku zenji goroku
Senses:
(2 fasc.) A work recording the sayings of Japanese Sōtō school 曹洞宗 monk Gangoku Kankei 頑極官慶 (1683–1767), compiled by Chōzen 超禪 (d.u.) and other disciples and published in 1780. The work includes an introduction by Kanro Genkō 甘露元皓 (d.u.) written in 1765, indicating the period of initial compilation. See the Zengaku daijiten entry for more details on the content.
